At Conterra, we respect the intellectual property rights of copyright owners and are committed to complying with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). To that end, we have adopted a Repeat Infringer Policy designed to address instances where users repeatedly violate copyright laws while using our network or services.
Policy Overview
Under our Repeat Infringer Policy, users who are found to repeatedly upload, distribute, or otherwise engage in infringing activity may face consequences, including termination of their service account.
We maintain a record of DMCA notifications and will take appropriate action when:
- Multiple Valid Notices: A user receives multiple valid DMCA notifications regarding alleged copyright infringement.
- No Counter-Notification: The user does not provide a valid counter-notification disputing the claims.
Steps Taken for Repeat Infringement
- First Notification: The user will be notified of the alleged infringement and provided with a copy of the DMCA notice. We will request that the infringing content or activity be removed or stopped immediately.
- Subsequent Notifications: Additional valid notices may result in temporary suspension of the user’s account, pending further investigation or compliance.
- Termination: Accounts associated with repeat infringement may be permanently terminated.
Appealing an Action
If you believe your account was mistakenly identified as a repeat infringer, you may appeal the decision by submitting a written explanation, including any relevant documentation or counter-notifications, to CopyrightCompliance@conterra.com.
Limitations of Liability
Conterra is not responsible for monitoring or pre-screening content transmitted through our network. However, we will take action when notified of alleged infringements in accordance with the DMCA.
